Start of cooperation with Wilde Ganzen/ICCO in the Netherlands
Start of cooperation with the FERC in Thailand

Funds raised by Samsara and increased by Wilde Ganzen/ICCO (Netherlands) for the support of 21 schools in poor villages in the mountains of Mae Sariang:

  • Five dormitories with toilet and furniture
  • Four canteens with kitchens and furniture
  • One study center/library with furniture and books
  • Three water installations
  • Seven sets of electric equipment (batteries and starters)
  • One toilet building

Total €39.000 (1,818,525 baht)


Funds provided by FERC:

  • One water collecting tank
  • Seven study centres/Library
  • Library furniture for one school
  • Scholarships

Total €9.979 (489,000 baht)


Funds provided by Samsara and carried out in collaboration with Rotary Chiang Mai South:

  • Educational support for eight orphans whose parents died of aids

  • Medicines for 33 schools

Funds raised by Samsara:

  • For scholarships in Mae Sariang  €1,530 (75,000 baht)

Individual contributions:

  • One donor in Nijmegen, the Netherlands provided funding for a protective wall and flight of stairs to prevent a school collapsing.
